How to manage burnout – practices from us and elsewhere
Burnout is a significant problem affecting social and health policy, labour policy and quality of life. Workplaces and occupational health care play a key role in correcting this problem though early identification and prevention of risk factors of burnout and its symptoms. The use of the symptom diagnosis code for burnout must be enhanced, and a national treatment recommendation is needed. In addition, workplace-specific instructions on returning to work must be drawn up.
